We are excited to share that Kellie Maas recently moved back to NJ and will now be offering in person services in Monmouth and Ocean County, New Jersey! Kellie grew up at the Jersey Shore and is passionate about working with communities and organizations around the area to provide child life private practice support. Nature Walks for Littles
Natural settings are an important part of healthy child development and help promote a sense of calmness and emotional regulation. While living in VT, Kellie witnessed this first hand by being involved in different nature based organizations with her own children. She has been inspired by these programs to create a community of families and children to explore and connect- with the natural world and each other. Please join Kellie on a nature walk with hands-on activities around the local areas to get your child out of the house and take in fresh air. Kellie will go out in most weather throughout the year. Ages 0-6 and carriers are helpful for little ones. Register to get location and activity specifics for each walk. $10 per walk.
IN- PERSON WORKSHOPS
Are you an organization that works with kids? Maybe you're a preschool, art studio, book store or doctor's office that would like to offer more children's programming at your place of establishment. Kellie offers a variety of play based and child directed workshops with the goal of helping children learn coping skills, preparing children for life experiences, promoting bonding and attachment and supporting parents/caregivers. Kellie is open to adapting her skillset to create a program that uniquely meets your organization's needs.
Private/ closed workshops are $150 an hour with all materials provided by Kellie. Collaboration with organizations or community partnerships costs vary and will be negotiated. Please contact Kellie to discuss pricing further.

TEDDY BEAR CLINICS
Kellie offers an educational, interactive and developmentally appropriate play-based opportunity to learn and clarify misconceptions about medical or dental experiences. In the Teddy Bear Clinic, she facilitates activities for one hour that familiarize and prepare children for wellness exams by offering hands-on learning opportunities through play, art and reading.
SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS
In addition to being a certified child life specialist, Kellie has her Masters in School Counseling and is a licensed school counselor in New Jersey. She is very familiar with ASCA's three domain of student growth including academic, career and social/ emotional development. If schools in the Central Vermont area are looking for assistance in programming, please reach out to Kellie to see how she can help!

Child Life private practice services in the classroom can be utilized to help children understand and cope with a variety of difficult topics such as the unexpected illness/death of a classmate or teacher or a natural or man-made disaster. Services are individually designed to meet the needs of the school/students.
BACK TO SCHOOL VISIT
School/Classroom Visit

Has your child been on medical leave due to illness and is now returning back to school? Let Kellie support your child and family during this transitional period by visiting your child's school. This service can be individualized to your child’s needs. Preferences may include:
Explanation of the child’s illness using age-appropriate information and child-friendly language to classmates
Suggestions for ways classmates can help support your child when they return to school
Q&A session
Some children want to participate and be involved in the visit, others prefer to not be in the room. We will work with you and your child to design a visit that meets their needs.

Are you a school administrator, school counselor or teacher who would like to expand your social/emotional programming to your students but have limited time to do so? IN PERSON CHILD LIFE SESSIONS

Kellie is also offering in-person sessions with limited availability in Ocean and Monmouth County NJ.
10.5 HOURS OF SESSION PACKAGE
$450 (Save $100!)
This package includes 10.5 hours of child life private practice sessions with Kellie. You will also have access to Kellie via e-mail for additional resources while your package is active. The first session will be a 30 minute virtual session with the legal guardian to identify specific goals, with the remaining sessions for the child(ren) and/or caregiver. After the initial 30 minute session, the following sessions are 60 minutes long, with the last 10 minutes allocated to cleaning up and debriefing with parents/caregivers.
Please Note: When booking package sessions, your first sessions will be scheduled at the time of payment. Subsequent sessions will be scheduled directly with your child life specialist.
Recommended for: Children with a chronic or life-threatening illness (crohn's/colitis, cancer, diabetes, sickle cell disease, gastroparesis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy etc.) Also recommended for siblings of chronically ill children, children of adults with chronic or threatening illnesses or children who have experienced the death of a family member or friend.
5.5 HOURS OF SESSIONS PACKAGE
$225 (Save $50!)
This package includes 5 hours of child life private practice sessions with Kellie. You will also have access to Kellie via e-mail for additional resources while your package is active. Sessions can be divided up to 60 minute or 30 minute sessions to meet your needs. The first session will be a 30 minute virtual session with the legal guardian to identify specific goals, with the remaining sessions for the child(ren) and/or caregiver.
Please note: When booking package sessions, your first sessions will be scheduled at the time of payment.
Recommended for: Elective/Planned Surgeries (ear tubes, scoliosis surgery, tonsillectomy etc.), Children of a family member battling an illness or diagnosis.
2.5 HOURS OF SESSIONS PACKAGE
$100 (Save $25!)
This package includes 2.5 hours of child life private practice sessions where you will work with Kellie throughout all of your sessions. You will also have access to Kellie via e-mail for additional resources while your package is active. The first session will be with the legal guardian to identify specific goals, with the remaining sessions for the child and/or caregiver.
Please note: This package includes an initial 30 minute virtual parent/guardian session to address goals and needs then two 60 minute sessions.
When you purchase, you will receive an email from Coastal Coping to schedule the 30 minute virtual session with Kellie.
When booking package sessions, your first session will be scheduled at the time of payment.

Individual child life sessions are tailored to your child's needs. Kellie understands everyone's medical journey is different.
Session topics may include:
Education for caregiver on how to prepare child for medical tests/procedures
Guidance on developing coping skills for both caregivers and children
Information on children's understanding of illness/injury/treatment based on developmental level
How to advocate for your child in medical settings
Medical play information
Therapeutic play intervention recommendations
*Please note- This package includes a 30 minute virtual parent/guardian session to address goals and needs then a one hour in person session with the child/children.
When you purchase, you will receive an email from Coastal Coping to schedule the 30 minute virtual session with Kellie.
Please note that costs of materials are not factored into service fee. Any suggested materials for individual use will be discussed during the initial 30 minute virtual parent/caregiver session. If recommended individual use materials are agreed upon and wanted, an invoice will be sent to you. Materials will only be purchased after payment of invoice is submitted. Sessions will only be scheduled after materials are received by you.
